Burger Singh Franchise Cost in India 2027-Investors Guide

on Nov 04, 2026 | 112 views

A Burger Singh franchise in India costs from ₹30 lakhs, plus GST, according to the brand's franchise page. For that you get a small standalone outlet of 225 to 400 sq ft, run on what the company calls its Operator Partner model.

The brand says a store can bring in ₹1 lakh to ₹1.5 lakhs a month in net income and pay itself back in 24 to 30 months. Those are the company's own numbers, so treat them as questions to ask, not promises.

The catch is time. You'll need to be in the store at least 90 hours a month yourself. If that works for you, read on. If you were hoping for a hands-off investment, this one isn't it.

A quick note on 2027. Burger Singh hasn't published separate 2027 pricing, so everything below comes from its current website (last updated July 2025). Confirm the latest figures with the team before you pay anything.

Generally 24 to 30 months

Minimum 90 hours a month

One gap to note. The page doesn't give a franchise fee, a security deposit or a royalty. Ask for all three in writing before you pay a token amount.

What does the ₹30 lakh investment cover?

It's the cost of setting up one store, built by Burger Singh's approved vendors, signage and branding included. The page doesn't split the ₹30 lakhs into line items, so ask for an itemised quote early. It's the most useful document you'll get at this stage.

GST comes on top, at a rate that varies by component (civil work, equipment, services). If the whole amount were taxed at 18%, you'd pay another ₹5.4 lakhs. That's our planning cushion, not a brand figure, so check with your CA.

Keep some cash aside for the first few months of running costs too. It shouldn't come out of the ₹30 lakhs.

What are the monthly running costs?

This is the part people skip. The brand lists these typical figures:

Cost

Typical figure

Cost of goods (COGS)

About 40% to 45% of sales

Rent

₹30,000 to ₹75,000, within the city cap

Staff (4 to 5 people)

₹70,000 to ₹1,00,000

Other overheads

About ₹40,000

Rent above the city cap can be approved case by case, but only if footfall and frontage are exceptional. The staffing guide is two people in the kitchen and two or three on the floor, with more as revenue grows.

On top of that you pay for local licences (FSSAI, fire NOC), offline marketing like flyers and housing society activations, and the landlord's deposit. The page gives no number for the deposit.

What about royalty? The current page is silent. An older Burger Singh franchise page listed a 6% royalty and 2% administration fee, along with other charges. These terms may not apply to the current Operator Partner model. Ask the company for written confirmation of all applicable fees before preparing your financial projections.

Burger Singh franchise requirements: who can apply?

You don't need restaurant experience. The brand asks for a decent personal financial record, comfort with investing ₹30 lakhs or more, and a real interest in the food business.

The big one is time. Ninety hours a month works out to about three hours a day, and a manager can't cover for you. The brand also expects Burger Singh to be your main focus. Family members can run the store only if they're co-investors and go through the same interview and training.

How do you apply for a Burger Singh franchise?

  1. Fill in the enquiry form with your phone number (OTP verified), occupation, state and two yes/no questions.
  2. Attend the interview. They look at leadership, local market knowledge and whether you can own the P&L, and you present your own projections.
  3. Get your site and layout approved by the brand.
  4. Build the store with approved vendors, usually 45 to 60 days after the property is finalised. You arrange FSSAI, the fire NOC and other local paperwork.
  5. Finish onboarding on operations, POS and hygiene, then open.

One thing to ask about early: local brokers are recommended only after the token is paid, and on a best-effort basis. Find out what the token covers and whether it comes back if no site gets approved.

Is a Burger Singh franchise right for you?

The good parts first:

  • A ₹30 lakh starting point for an established brand with 200+ outlets across 100+ cities
  • No food experience needed
  • Supply chain, marketing and delivery listings handled centrally
  • A small format that keeps rent and staffing lean

Then the things to think about:

  • The 90 hours a month, which rules out running it from a distance
  • No exclusivity, and a second outlet depends on how your first one performs
  • No mall or food court sites
  • Approved vendors are mandatory for core components
  • The missing fee, deposit and royalty

It suits a hands-on first-time entrepreneur with the money and the time. If you plan to hire a manager and stay away, or a mall is your only option, look elsewhere.
