About the Founder - An Artist, Educationist and an Entrepreneur :
Artist S.Venkatachalapathy is the Founder-Director of SRI ANNAI KAMAKSHI KALAIKUDAM. He has done his Masters in Fine Arts (M.F.A) from the Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai. In addition, Diploma holder in Modern Art from Modern Art School, Salem and Diploma in Cartooning from Santhanu Chitra Vidhyalaya, Chennai. He has also completed a certificate course on "Survey of Art Therapy" from George Washington University.
In this present fast-paced materialistic world, every one of us needs to indulge in some sort of activity which relaxes one’s body and mind. Of all such activity, art and crafts take prime positions, as they not only relax body and mind but also develop concentration.
We at Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam impart training in paintings such as Poster, Oil, Acrylic, Watercolours, Tanjore Paintings, Stained glass etc., We impart training in over 200 Varieties of paintings and craft. This Kalaikudam was started by Artist S.Venkatachalapathy (Achalam) in 1996 with just three students. About thirty thousand students have fruitfully finished their training under us. Now the institution has grown in status with fifteen branches in Chennai. More than three thousand students studying in our institution. Apart from school children, even adults from various walks of life are being trained here. Painting courses are offered by correspondence as well as online.
This institution aims to train the students in such a way that, it helps them to excel in whatever field of study/career they choose. Every year we organize One day camp for Spot Painting, Annul International art exhibition, many workshops and Summer camps. More than 300 workshops have been conducted so far. We also give training for various drawing and painting competitions, Entrance exams for BFA, B.Arch, Fashion Designing etc. and also for Lower and Higher grade exams in Drawing and Painting.

Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam is run by Artist S. Venkatachalapathy (Achalam) for the past 13 years. Achalam has finished Master’s in fine arts M.F.A., (Painting) from Govt. College of fine arts Chennai. Achalam has participated in many groups shows. He has worked for many art and craft companies through which he has exported his paintings to many foreign countries.
Achalam has done interior works like murals and his paintings are also displayed in Hotels like Hotel Savera, Hotel Sudha, Hotel Madura Park Inn & Hotel Shan. He has conducted more than three hundred workshops for students.

Students can avail Bharathanatyam Classes between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays

Students can avail Carnatic Keyboard classes between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Saturdays and Mondays and 9:00 am and 10:00 am on Sundays

Activities
Workshops are conducted every month for all students. One day camps every year for training the students in spot painting, doorstep teaching offered and Group exhibition named Chitramela Annual art exhibition conducted every year at Achalam art gallery to make all the students get a chance to display their talents.
Varieties of Paintings are taught for students above 12 years and these classes can be taken on all days except Tuesdays being a weekly holiday.

Nagar, Chennai – 600078. The initial training program will be conducted over a 3-day period, which may be modified from time to time in FRANCHISOR’s discretion.
